Phase-out is approached incrementally to help students take ownership of their developing executive function skills while reducing the intensity of our intervention to allow for independent practice.

Meaghan Peterson, M. Ed.,

Certified Executive Function Coach

Hi there!

I’m Meaghan, the founder of On the Ball Coaching.  I’m an educator, coach, and lifelong champion for students, regardless of learning profile or background.  My professional path spans elementary through higher education.

For over two decades, I’ve worked in classrooms, family-centered programs, and colleges helping children and young adults grow academically, emotionally, and personally.  I’ve taught in diverse public school settings, pioneered inclusive classroom models, mentored new teachers, coordinated large homeschool programs, and worked in higher education admissions guiding students and families through pivotal transitions.

Across every role, one truth has stayed constant: bright, motivated students often struggle not because they lack ability, but because they lack the skills to manage time, organize work, plan ahead, and advocate for themselves.  Executive function challenges like procrastination, overwhelm, missed deadlines, disorganization, and anxiety can quietly erode confidence and joy in learning.

That’s why I created On the Ball Coaching.

I help middle school, high school, and college students build the practical systems and habits they need to succeed: planning, prioritizing, breaking tasks down, managing emotions, and communicating effectively.  My coaching is structured, encouraging, and deeply student-centered.  I meet students where they are, honor how their brains work, and teach skills that last far beyond this semester.

Parents often tell me, “I know my child is capable, but I just can’t get through to them.”  I bridge that gap.  With warmth, clarity, and accountability, I help students feel competent, motivated, and in control of their own success.

Every student deserves to feel capable. My job is to help them get there—one skill, one habit, and one win at a time.  Small shifts.  Lasting Momentum.
